It’s 3:15 a.m. on August 2, 2016 and in a few short hours I’ll be accepting an award from the Center for Innovative Food Technologies and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. While the sleep deprivation is all too real, the process of winning feels more like a dream. Just a few short weeks ago i pulled an entry together, and just a couple of weeks ago, I was making my presentation with 10 other finalists before a “Shark Tank”-style panel of food entrepreneurs and restauranteurs.
The award presentation is at the Ag/Hort building at the Ohio State Fair at 1:00 p.m. today. I haven’t been to the fair in years, so it’s going to be a lot of fun! I can’t wait to show my husband the Butter Cow. Now, all we have to do is figure out how to get deep-fried mustard on a stick…
